In this very good article (apart from the Rand and Friedman jab), Bruce Stewart laments all of the market distortions that corporate welfare causes. It’s setting our northern neighbors up for a low-growth, high-debt environment and, eventually, the money is going to run out. It’s sad to say, but the United States is no different:
